Tigard High School Choir Department presented a Halloween Variety Show on Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.
The show had two parts to it with a 15-minute intermission. Students Corey Floom and Dan Sacks started the show with a funny bit. “I thought you said this was High School Musical?” said Corey after seeing Dan dressed up in a suit.
The show wasn’t just singing. There was dancing and acting too with costumes and props. When announcing, “I Will Follow You into the Dark,” Corey said, “You know, Dan sings this song to me every night before I go to sleep.”
“Dentist!” seemed to be the one most people enjoyed the most which was about a dentist who claimed he was the best.
The second part started with another crowd favorite, the Dance Duo by E.J. delaCruz and Josef Zaragoza. They wore white masks and black hats.
The show ended with Concert Choir singing “Deposuit potentes”, “The Eyes of All Wait Upon Thee”, and “Past Life Melodies”. The songs were haunting yet soothing. Perfect for Halloween!
“Just a few more hours until Halloween,” said Susan Hale, the choir teacher, after they finished singing. “I want to thank you all for coming to our annual Variety Show.”
