Lunch benefits running out for 300 Tigard High students
September 20, 2012
About 300 Tigard High School students who received free or reduced lunch last year have not reapplied for benefits this year, school officials said.
The students were sent information in the mail over the summer stating that they needed to reapply for meal benefits, and although many applications have been turned in, about 300 have not.
Their current meal benefits will end around Oct. 11, but the school may extend benefits for a few days until the new forms have been turned in.
The office is sending out notices to students so they can take the forms home. There will also be a blurb in the daily bulletin and will be sent home to families who receive the daily bulletin by email
