Summer has come to a close and the school year is in full swing which means one thing: it’s time to update your wardrobe. With cold weather and school dress codes, it’s time to stow away the denim shorts and bring out cozy sweaters.
However, this doesn’t mean you have to completely switch out your wardrobe. Layering clothes is an easy alternative to buying new clothes for the new season. Instead of replacing tank tops with warmer tops, you can simply layer with cardigans.
The crop tops that were comfortable in the summer can easily be paired with high waisted jeans or a maxi skirt to avoid showing too much skin at school. High waisted jeans don’t have to be spendy, they are easily found at thrift stores.
Fall is all about mixing up the basics. Neutral tops can become more exciting with a bright scarf or colored denim.
It’s time to switch out flip flops with boots and lemonade for hot cocoa, fall is here.
