Theater Auditions for Tigard High’s “As You Like It”

By Stephanie Caputo, Staff Writer

Auditions for Tigard High’s first play of the year are being held today after school through Wednesday.  They will take place in the auditorium where students will perform either a monologue or a two-person scene.

Callbacks will be posted on the Theater Face Book page on Sept. 21, along with the cast list at a later date. Students can count on viewing the play and supporting their friends in November.

Todd Hermanson, the Theater teacher at Tigard High school, will not be directing “As You Like It” this year. Instead, Jane Fellows will be stepping in. Many students know her from subbing in their Theater classes.  THS has high hopes for the upcoming play. We are expecting great directing from Fellows, and great acting from Tigard students.

Not interested in acting, but still want to support your school and the Theater Department? Sign up for the crew! Stage maintenance is just as important as learning the lines. Also, Hermanson usually gives his Theater students the option of managing the door during nights of the play.

Any other information on the play, such as plot and sign up sheets for crew, can be found in the auditorium on the notice board. As for the students auditioning tonight- Break a leg!
