Everyone knows that recycling is good for the earth, but we don’t often see the impact in our own community. The Fashion Club, run by Mckenzie Coulson, is hosting a Drive-By Can Drive starting Tuesday, Oct. 18 and continuing through Tuesday, Nov. 1. Students are encouraged to bring their empty pop cans and water bottles to Ms. Coulson in room 214, or either of the lunch rooms. Collection bins are also placed around the school.

The proceeds from our cans and bottles will be donated to the Caring Closet, a helpful organization that aids Tigard-Tualatin families in need. The Caring Closet provides many students and families with the proper tools they need to succeed, such as backpacks, school supplies, clothing, shoes, hygiene and even bedding.

The Fashion Club has made recycling easy in a way that directly affects our community. So drink up, and help out!
