If you’ve ever walked into a grocery store during the holiday season, you have seen someone ringing a little bell for the Salvation Army. If you’ve ever wondered who would stand outside on a 40 degree day ringing a bell look no further than Tigard’s own Key Club members.
The THS Key Club participates in the Salvation Army Bell Ringing at the King City Safeway the week after Thanksgiving Break. For Key Club it is a good way to start the holiday season. They will also hang Christmas lights at various locations around the Tigard-Tualatin area.
These traditions are things that all members have an opportunity to take part in. With over 150 members there are always people looking for opportunities to help better the community.
With Christmas season around the corner and Thanksgiving next week, lets be thankful for that we have and give extra to the people who need it. In this time of the year it is nice to not only think of ourselves and our families, but of the people out there who are much less fortunate.
Stop by Safeway in King City Nov. 26 to 30 to help out the Key Club and our local Salvation Army raise money for items such as food, clothing, and other basic needs.
