Tigard High School’s varsity girls soccer team went head to head with Century on Thursday, Oct. 3 at the THS soccer turf field at 7 p.m. Tigard has maintained a strong winning streak this season with only one tie. They came out strong, energized, and ready to take on another victory. Both teams were controlling the ball well and had confident movement on the field. Tigard scored twice early in the first half, which triggered Century to pick up the intensity.
“Although I was freezing, it was an enjoyable game to watch,” said senior Lauren Bryant.
By the second half, neither team let the cold weather get them as their speed quickly increased. Tigard and Century both had high energy, but it was Tigard who set the pace for most of the game. Senior Emily Cincotta scored in the middle of the second half off of a header, which made the score 3-0. Century put up a good fight, but Tigard came out with another win with an ending score of 3-0.
