After nine months of practice, dedication, and hard work it has finally come to the week that the Tigerettes will compete at the OSAA Dance/ Drill State Championships. The State Championships is a four day event at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum. On the first two days of competition the Show, 3A/2A/1A, 5A intermediate, and 5A small divisions will be competing. However, the Tigerettes will be compete in the second set of competition on March 15 and 16 in the 5A/6A large division, along with 4A small, 4A large, and 6A small.
Each night the competition begins at 5 p.m. The first night is the preliminary round, this is the last chance for teams to earn a S.Q.S of at least a 65 in order to qualify for finals the next day. The Tigerettes have already qualified at at earlier competitions. The Tigerettes are expecting to perform around 6:40 p.m. on Friday night but OSAA suggests that spectators arrive at least an hour early. Reserved seating is available online and at the Rose Garden Box Office. Tickets will also be available at the door on the day of competition.
