It’s that time of the year again when everyone fills the gym to support Tigard High’s varsity boys basketball team. Tryouts are over and this year’s season is about to begin with their first game against Milwaukee on Friday, Nov. 30 in the THS large gym.
“This year’s team is a good group that works hard and well together,” said Head Coach Shawn Alderman, “You can expect a hard working team that competes every night.”
When asked about this season’s competition, Alderman replied, “Our toughest competition this season will be against Century and Tualatin.”
According to Alderman, the team’s goals for the year are to win the league championships and get to the finals.
“There are many returning seniors such as; Evan Garrison, Conner Olson, Will Schaer, and Robby Chabreck. All of them I consider as our top players this year,” said Alderman. Sounds like we can expect great things from this year’s team.
