If you weren’t there Oct. 26 to cheer on your Tigard Tigers and watch Tigard Dance and Synergy perform at halftime, one thing’s for sure, you missed out. All of the dancers worked hard at perfecting the routines for the halftime show, and they did a wonderful job.
The first song that they performed was “Hey Baby.” This routine is one everyone knows and everyone always wants to get up and move to the beat. All of the dancers even sing along to the chorus while dancing.
“I’m always smiling when I dance to this song, I just get so into it and I have so much fun performing it,” said Sydney Dauphinais, Protege freshman.
The second routine was ‘The Fight Song.” The Tigard Dance team has been doing this football routine for a long time. Some students may have even been singing along to it.
“The Fight Song was so much fun, I really enjoy performing it!” said Merissa Hull, Protege freshman.
The Fight Song has been an original for awhile and makes the crowd go wild.
Protege taught Synergy the routines well and they caught on quickly. Everyone could tell that they had been working hard to perfect the routines. Even during the quick hour practice before the game, they were working hard. They are a pleasure to perform with. Tigard Dance appreciates Synergy for working so hard and showing off their skills at the football game.
“Whoever is on Synergy and is planning on going to Tigard should definitely try out for the team next year, you guys are impressive!” said Justine Wetten, Protege freshman.
