Last Thursday’s game against Forest Groves was Tigard’s last chance to win a guaranteed spot in the playoffs. Due to Tigard’s 2-3 loss against Forest Grove, they were forced to wait and see how other schools perform. Newberg’s game against Hillsboro, which was going on at the same time, was to determine Tigard’s standing.

Newberg won, and despite Tigard’s loss to Forest Grove on Thursday, which put their playoff eligibility in question, Tigard was placed in the playoffs. They have all of this week to practice for their game on Saturday. Playoff schedules have not yet been released, so for now they do not know who they will play.
