On Thursday, Oct. 11, the Tigard Tigers football team decisively ended the Hillsboro Spartans undefeated streak, 86-37.
The Tigard High student section was filled with bright neon colors and high hopes for another big win! Their spirits were up and excited for the expected “easy” game.
“I’m super excited and so far it has been a wonderful game,” said junior Sakari Getty-Ward.
The scoring started with 9 minutes and 19 seconds left on the clock in the first quarter when senior number twenty-three Zach Floyd make the first of 14 touchdowns by the Tigers, which definitely set the pace for the rest of the game.
The game was surely Tigard’s by half-time, with the score 58 – 3. Striving to get points on the board Hillsboro fell short and could not keep up with Tigard’s defense.
