In a match against rivals, the Tigard varsity volleyball team faced off against the Tualatin Timberwolves on Thurs., Sept. 13. The Tigers won their game against McMinnville on Tuesday, and fans, decked out in white, were looking forward to the second victory of the week.
The first game was easily won by the Tigers. Tualatin started with a service, but Tigard got started with an eight point lead. The Tigers maintained a decent lead throughout the first game, finishing with a final score of 25-18.
Despite their best efforts during the second game, the Timberwolves struck back by setting the score to one game each. The second game ended with a score of 27-29.
However, the Tigers’ confidence remained unwavered. Although the score was close for a while, Tigard came out of the third game with a score of 25-21.
The fourth game had both Tigard and Tualatin fans at the edge of their seats, with the score going back and forth. Soon enough, the Tigers got a lead on the Timberwolves and concluded the final game with a score of 25-17.
