Do you like to dance? Come tryout for the Tigard dance team on May 7- 9 from 6 – 8:30 p.m. in the small gym. All 8th- 11th graders are invited to tryout.  Members of the new team will dance at halftime games, participate in parades, and compete in local dance team competitions. During the 2011-2012 season the TIgerettes placed 2nd at the Oregon Dance/ Drill State Championships, as well as 2nd in lyrical and 6th in pom at the USA Dance/ Drill National Championships.

On the first two nights of tryouts; Tigerette hopefuls will be taught a short tryout routine and be given a chance to start showing off their technique. Recommended skills are double pirouettes, split leaps, a la second turns, and calypsos, also be prepared to show flexibility skills. The actual auditions will be on the 3rd night (May 9), come prepared to perform the routine taught on nights 1 and 2.

The 2012- 2013 team roster will be posted on Friday May 11 at Tigard, Fowler and Twality.
