Tigard’s wrestling, boys basketball, and dance team all made the Dairy Farmers of Oregon Academic All- State Winter Top Ten List this year. Each earning 25 points for the 2011-2012 Oregonian Cup. The Oregonian Cup was established to recognize overall excellence by schools in academics, activities, athletics, and sportsmanship. The Academic All State Program is sponsored by the Dairy Farmers of Oregon in rewarding OSAA sanctioned teams with the highest overall team grade point average. Members of top ten schools in each activity, in each division are rewarded with lapel pins.

The boys basketball team had an overall GPA of 3.54 and placed fifth in 6A division. Both the wrestling and dance teams placed first in their divisions; the wrestling team received a 3.42 and the dance team earned themselves a 3.69. Last year the wrestling team was in 10th place and this is the dance team’s second consecutive year in first.
