The Tigard High men’s soccer team placed second in the Pacific Conference standings with a 9-4-1 record. They will meet West Salem in a Class 6A first-round state playoff match Saturday starting at 7 p.m. The game takes place at West Salem High School.
West Salem, is the No. 2 team out of the Central Valley Conference and their final season standings were 7-4-2.
If Tigard wins at West Salem on Saturday, it will either host Newberg or play at Grant in a second-round match on Tuesday.
The Tigers are very excited for their match on Saturday and want to make it far in playoffs this season.
“We need to come together as a team, and play to our top potential,” said captian, Alex White. “A win would mean so much to us.”
