Tigard held its last home cross country meet for the season Oct. 19 against Newberg and McMinnville.

Newberg High School’s Bailey Peterson took first for the varsity boys’ race. Junior Matt Carlson came in fourth with senior Scott Rice coming in at fifth. 

In the varsity girls’ race, McMinnville High School took first and then senior Emily Walch took second and freshman Hannaly Duff-McGaughey came in fourth.

The cross country team is heading to districts next week on Oct. 27 at Clackamas Community College. Then Nov. 4 is when they head off to state at Lane Community College in Eugene.
