The Tigard High men’s varsity soccer team had a home game September 20, at 7 p.m. They played their school rival, Tualatin High School.
The Tigers got off to a quick start with a goal from sophomore Ben White, but Tualatin followed soon after with three of their own goals. The score at the half was 3-1 with Tualatin in the lead.
The second half didn’t look much better, and the end score of the game was 3-2, Tualatin with the win.
“We really wanted this win,” said senior Luis Vega. “We need to learn to play better together, and that will come with more practice.”
The Tigard Tigers are now 2-2, having lost their two home games, and winning their two away games. Their next game is Thursday, September 22, at McMinnville High School.
