A Black Friday guide
November 25, 2014
Black friday is notorious for frustratingly long lines, thick crowds, and limited discount merchandise. But despite that, its a big occasion as shoppers hunt for amazing bargains and hope to get incredibly low prices. If you decide to wait in line for hours for your favorite store and don’t end up getting a good deal, then what is the point of having fun on Black Friday?
Any mall will be a busy but good place to go to on black friday. Since we are all teengers, if you want to feel fabulous in a new, hip winter outfit, popular stores such as Forever 21, American Eagle, and H&M will have both men and women clothing up to 70-80% off, or buy one get one free. The holidays are also right around the corner, so you keep your eye out for nice gifts for your family and friends.
If you’re looking for a wide variety, shop at Sears, JC Pennys, or one of the world’s largest department stores, Macy’s. You can buy many things there such as appliances, electronics, and clothing.
“About 140 million people are expected to shop over this holiday weekend, a decline from the 147 million who planned to do so last year, according to the National Retail Federation. The trade group said that nearly a quarter of the people it surveyed planned to shop on Thanksgiving Day,” says the Wall street Journal.
If you want a doorbuster deal, this is the time to do it. If you’re not up early and waiting in line, you are less likely to get the best deal. According to CBS, “The only way to score the deal of your dreams may be to line up before the store opens and race for the display as soon as the key is turned.” If you’re a lazy shopper and want to get what’s left over and not go through the crowds, many deals are still available until noon, or even later.
Don’t stress, Black Friday is all about going with your friends and having fun. A lot of other stores will be having markdowns as well, but if you are an intense shopper, get out and see what sales are going to be out there. Happy shopping!
