With the fall season here, powderpuff football is exciting many at T.H.S. Girls of all grades are turning forms in before Friday, Oct. 4 in order to participate. Visit P.E. teacher, Heidi Dehaan in the girls locker room to pick up forms and more information.
“[Powderpuff] will be a great way to meet people,” remarked junior Akanesi Iongi.
Powderpuff is a girls flag football game that is a tradition of Tigard High during homecoming week. Last year the seniors won overall, followed by the juniors, freshmen, and sophomores. Coaches and players will begin practice on Oct. 8, and continue to prepare until the game, which will take place Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. on the T.H.S. football field. Plenty of students plan on attending to root for their grade and favorite contenders.
“I’ve always wanted to play powderpuff,” sophomore Taylor Wilhoit mentioned.
