After three grueling days of tryouts, the new 2013- 2014 Tigerettes dance team was announced. This years tryout process included a performance of the jazz and pom routine, splits, turns, and kicks. Approximately 70 girls showed up and there was certainly a lot of talent in the gym. The list was posted outside the dance closet today near the end of first lunch.

The coaches were looking for 40 strong dancers who would be able to represent Tigard at the state and national championships next spring. In the end, 43 girls were selected to be a member of the varsity team; 13 will be rookies this season. The junior varsity team, Protege, also took 20 girls.
