Come and enjoy a day of fun activities and educational opportunities at the Health Fair on Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Tigard High School. The fair is free to all, including obstacle courses, face painting, balloon artists, and other entertainment. The fair involves the THS club STUDD, the community group TTT, THS leadership, and 25 local businesses all coming together to help provide a fun and unique way to teach people of all ages about health. This is the fifth year Tigard has put on the fair, and it is all thanks to THS health teacher Connie Jolley.
“The Health Fair is an opportunity for all the people in the community to learn something new and to bring families together,” said Jolley.
Students can get involved by volunteering, performing, and taking place in the three vs. three basketball game. The people who participate can win free prizes and learn more about how to live a healthy lifestyle.
“Aside from the fun activities, local businesses will be hosting demonstrations that provide information about their services and other general health-related issues,” said Jolley.
