The winter season for Drumline and Winter Guard is here. The tryouts for Winter Guard are taking place from Dec. 10 to 15. Once the team is assembled they will compete in competitions from February through part of the spring sports season.
Coming from a successful season for the outdoor marchers the winter season gives them a chance to take home another win for Tigard. Although the team has not been made up yet it is well anticipated in the band world. This new season comes at the perfect time for the marchers who have had a bit of an off season after the fall show.
This indoor band will consist of only wind instruments and the “pit” (sorry brass lovers). There are also marching cymbals and other instruments not featured in the outdoor shows. With the audition process almost at an end and with the first competition on Feb. 2, the Color Guard is sure to be busier than ever perfecting every new step that they learn.
