It’s no doubt that the small city of Tigard isn’t the most cultured place in the world; luckily though, with the help of local artists, art is coming to life in the Suburbs! This weekend, our very own Alberta Rider Elementary School will be hosting this years Art in The Burbs. The event will take place on Friday, Oct. 19 – Sunday, Oct. 21 from 6-9 p.m on Friday, 10 a.m – 6 p.m on Saturday and 11 a.m – 5 p.m on Sunday. This fine art gallery will feature art from over 80 local artists and even some students. The art will include cards, clay, garden art, glass, hanging art, jewelry, textiles and wood. 20% of the proceeds from the art sold will be donated to the Tigard/Tualatin School Districts Art Department. There is a $3 fee at the door, but it is promised to be worth the money! Great music will be performed by local student musicians while you enjoy your mocktails and snacks. Support your local artists at this great charitable event this weekend.
