The annual Thanksgiving Day Run is Nov. 24, 2011, starting at Cook Park in Tigard. Each of the 500 runners will receive his or her own start time, made possible by world-class timing equipment. They will be given between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. to pick it up.

Kids ages 13-and-under race free. The 1K Run/Walk  costs $5, the 5K Run/Walk costs $25, and the 10K Run/Walk costs $35.

Get ready for a great run before your Thanksgiving meal. Bring two cans of food to be given to Sherwood’s Catholic Church Food Bank as part of Tigard High senior Ricky Wilder’s Eagle Scout project.
