Tigard High students are putting their dancing shoes on for the Homecoming dance, Saturday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. in the Cafeteria.
“I’m really excited just to spend time with my friends and have a good night!” said freshman Morgen Caviness. Some are going with dates, while others are going in big groups.
“I’m also looking forward to the events before the actual dance,” said Caviness.
On Friday Oct. 21 from 5 – 6 p.m. there will be a parade down Durham Road before Friday night’s football game. It will feature various clubs and teams that have all crafted their own floats, and the Marching Band, Cheer, and the Tigerettes will be marching as well to get us pumped.
At 7 p.m. the Homecoming Game will start. We will be facing the Newberg Tigers. Their record is against them, with 3-4, wins to losses, while our own Tigers are 7-0.
The theme of the game is “black out”, so any student planning on attending the game can dress in black to show spirit.
All these events lead to the main event, the homecoming dance. So start practicing your dance moves and have fun!
