This month, Future Business Leaders of America “FBLA” club is selling orange paper pumpkins for the March of Dimes foundation.
What is the March of Dimes? It is a foundation that helps to support babies in need: “the money you raise in March for Babies funds important research and programs that help babies begin healthy lives” (marchforbabies.org).
Senior Tanner Ahl states, “it seems like a really good cause and I hope a lot of people help out.”
Senior Danielle Gedusky agrees, “who wouldn’t want to help out babies in need?”
Pumpkins are being sold for $1 each during both lunches on Mondays in October and at parent conferences on Thursday October 24 from 4 PM to 8 PM.
FBLA club advisor Alice Gailey-Renner exclaims, “I’m very pleased with our progress so far. We’ve already doubled what we got last year and we still have half of a month to go.”
Who wouldn’t want to help out babies in need? Also, when you buy one, you get to write your name on the pumpkin to be hung up on the school walls.
