On Tuesday, Sept. 18, Tigard’s varsity volleyball team went head to head against the Hillsboro Spartans. The Tigers won their last game the previous Thursday and Tigard students showed up to the game dressed in all black to support the players once again.

The first game of the match was won by Tigard with a score of 25-14. The Spartans took multiple timeouts during this game.
The second game was also won by the Tigers, the final score coming out to 25-4. Tigard player Valerie Hughes scored many points for the Tigers during this game.
The third and final game was the closest game of the night, but the Tigers came out with another victory. Tigard won the match with a final score of 25-18.
