I’m sure by now you’ve all noticed that the weather has changed from sunny and gorgeous, to cold and rainy. Along with the weather change, it’s time to update your makeup collection to fit the autumn trends.
One of the most popular trends this fall season is anything dramatic. Metallic eye shadows have been seen all over the runways, as well as in the newest makeup collections.
Another way to make a statement with your makeup is to go with one of the classics: red lipstick. This lip trend is one of the most versatile among all fall trends. Be sure, if you’re going to choose to wear red lips, to go with the red that matches your skin tone, whether it be more of a blood red, wine red, or even an orange (which is also very in)!
Be sure that if you do anything dramatic with your makeup, that you make one feature the focal point, and you wear a very simple outfit with it.
Two of the newest makeup trends this year have never been seen before: downward winged eyeliner, and spider lashes. Winged eyeliner is something that people have been sporting for years, but it’s changed. To follow fall trends, you will need to make the wing go downward. Spider lashes are another huge trend. Spidering you lashes essentially means that you clump them together to little points, which makes it look like you have tiny triangles on your eyes, and it actually looks really good!
The best thing you can do when following all of these dramatic fall trends is to wear a neutral eye when you have a dramatic lip on, or vice versa, and to define your eyebrows. The best way to define your eyebrows is to shape them nicely and fill them in with either an eyebrow powder or an eyebrow pencil that matches the color of your eyebrows.
Just like it’s important to follow up with fashion trends, it’s crucial to stay up to date on make up trends!
