This summer, students all over the world left their families and traveled across oceans to experience the American life style. Three new students are enrolled at Tigard High School through foreign exchange programs this year.

Enis Viertmann, junior, from a village near Hamburg Germany who will be here for both semesters only arrived in America last week but already likes the weather and the people.

Laura Debuire, junior, from Sable Sur Sarthe, France, arrived on Aug 23 and will be here until July.

“I really like America, it has been hard at the beginning, especially the first days of school,” said Debuire on the transition from France to Oregon.
