Get on the Gravy Train and see Yung Gravy at the Wonder Ballroom
Known for his hit songs and large media presence, Yung Gravy is a rap icon from Rochester, Minnesota who hit his fame in 2016. He has already toured two times across the U.S, and he is making his way to Portland.
Most people recognize his songs from famous Tik Toks and memes that have become media sensations. A popular song from Gravy is Cheryl, which is the song that is featured on TikTok for its lyrics. Overall, Gravy has been distinguished from most rappers and Soundcloud artists for his different approach to trap and remixing songs. In Mr. Clean, Gravy fused the track of Mr. Sandman into the song, and in Flex Season, he incorporated Careless Whisper as the soundtrack for his song.
Like any Soundcloud artist, Yung Gravy is said to have a really energetic and lively performance that will most likely include moshing and possible meme references. The attendance is expected to be high with mainly younger people who will get these references. Tickets are available at the Wonder Ballroom site. Although Gravy is not a super well-known rapper, his following has been strong and continues to grow; this concert would be a good opportunity to see him before he gets too famous for these smaller and casual venue shows.
The show starts at 9:00 p.m. on Mar. 5 at the Wonder Ballroom, and all ages can attend (in the general admission floor). The Paw staff will be covering the show performance that evening and will be posting a review promptly to the site.
If you plan on attending the show, make sure to send pictures of you and of the performance to THS Publications for a feature in the review. Contact us at [email protected].
