Going to the movies is a great way to spend time with your family, even if it’s on Christmas, but there are only two movies coming out on December 25 this year, Unbroken and Into the Woods, sad tragic movie and also a fantasy Disney movie.
The upcoming movie Unbroken is a 2014 American war drama film produced and directed by Angelina Jolie. Based on the 2010 non fiction book by Laura Hillenbrand, this is a story about, “Survival, resilience and redemption”. It revolves around the life of Olympic athlete Louis “Louie” Zamperini. World War 2 hero Louis Zamperini, an Olympic track star, survives a plane crash in the pacific and spends 40 days drifting on a raft and then spends over two and a half years living in several Japanese prisoner of war camps.
The other movie coming out on Christmas is Into the Woods directed by Rob Marshall. A 2014 american musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Pictures. Set in an alternate world of various Grimm fairy tales. The main characters are based from, “Little Red Riding Hood,” “Jack and the Bean Stock”, “Repunzel”, and “Cinderella”. What begins as a lively fantasy musical eventually becomes a meaningful tale about responsibility.
