Tigard pulls out another win against their rivals Tualatin
February 2, 2013
Round two of the rivalry games against Tualatin on Friday, Feb.1, that took place in the TuHS main gym, was a success! Both bleachers were filled with Tigard and Tualatin fans screaming for and supporting their team. Tualatin fans had a neon out, while our Tigard Tigers wore all black. The first half was fairly even, with both teams coming out with high energy and sharp passes. TuHS stuck with their outside shots, while Tigard forced their way through the middle for a layup. At the end of the half, the score was uncomfortably close with Tigard ahead 27-28.
Both teams came back in the third quarter ready to fight for the win. The crowds grew louder as the score continued to go back and forth between Tigard and TuHS. There was no doubt it was a close game, but once Tigard got on a roll there was no stopping them. Both teams put up a good fight, but it was our Tigard Tigers that pulled out another win against Tualatin with an ending score of 59-66.
