NHS Blood Drive

By Sydney Dauphinais, Staff Writer

Small red posters have been popping up around school telling people that they are “somebody’s type.” This play on words is reference to the blood drive going on Wednesday, February 11th.

Students who are at least 16 years of age with a parent signature are encouraged to donate. The  blood drive is done by Red Cross and will be going on in the small gym all day.

Talk to IB Coordinator Michael Savage to find out if you are eligible to donate. Seniors Lauren Lusk, Brooke Rayfield, and Sarah Doan organized the event for their NHS project, and are also organizing sign-ups for the drive.

The blood donation process takes around 90 minutes and slots are still available. It is a safe and easy process that could potentially save a life.
