Homicide has made itself even more present in the Tigard area. Last Friday night, 36 year old Jerry Duy Nguyen was found shot outside of his condo on Canterbury Lane.

Officers responded after the sound of gun shots being reported. They found the victim shot outside of his ex-wife’s home, where Nguyen was picking up his child. Both the mother and child were inside the house during the shooting.

A Tigard officer used CPR in an attempt to save the victim after he was shot, but he died at the scene.

Police have not yet found the shooter, who fled the scene shortly after the crime was committed. They are searching for suspect Orlando Pouncey, who police say is a friend of Nguyen’s ex wife and was seen in the area around the time of the shooting.

Officers from Tigard, Beaverton, Tualatin and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office have been searching for Pouncey. He is considered dangerous, and anyone who sees him should call 911.
