The Tigerettes dance team will compete in the O.S.A.A. Dance/ Drill State Championship this weekend at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Although they have already pre-qualified for finals, they will compete on Friday March 21 in the preliminaries. Finals will take place the next day (Saturday, March 22). This year, Tigard will compete in the 6A/5A Large dance division. Teams in this division include: South Salem, Gresham, Woodburn, Lincoln, West Albany, and Thurston.

For those who will not be able to make it to the Memorial Coliseum this weekend, the team will also be hosting a showcase in the main gym at 7p.m. tonight. The Tigerettes will perform their state routine ‘Lightning Crashes’ for the last time before they compete at state. Tigard’s Protege will also showcase their routine for the junior varsity championships. Lastly, the varsity team will present both their jazz and pom routines, which they will compete with at nationals. The event is free of charge.
