Reputation no longer Sterling

LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling finds himself in trouble after making crude comments.

It has been a rocky season for the Los Angeles Clippers basketball team. Besides the normal ups and downs of the regular basketball seasons, the Clippers are facing a huge problem: their owner.

Sterling shared his various negative opinions against African Americans. He is dating a woman with African descent and made racist remarks against her. He made this opinion public and everyone is appalled.

It may have seemed ironic because of the ethnicity of Sterling’s girlfriend and the fact that over 70% of the players in the NBA are of African descent.

Teams such as the Portland Blazers and the Houston Rockets both wore black socks to their games to make a statement. In fact, the Clippers were so offended and embarrassed that they switched their jerseys inside-out so that no one could see the Clippers logo. They made sure that this act of protest was still allowed within the NBA rules and it was. They found a loophole.

It is still unclear how the situation will play out and if Sterling is to sell the team and be kicked out of the NBA, which many people stand behind.
