Start your future at YEBW

By Amanda Prince, Staff Writer

Planning on graduating with a business major? Then YEBW Young Entrepreneur Business Week is just right for you! Sign up for a week of learning leadership, communication, business fundamentals, and financial literacy skills. This week long camp gives you experience before you are out of high school, with potential college credit!

This program gives students experience by being placed in mock companies, each guided by a loaned business executive by designing a product or service, conduct business operations and compete against other students. These students challenge and inspire each other while creating management teams and preparing a business plan that will be presented to professionals such as CEO’s of the biggest companies of the world.

“I wanted to go to YEBW because I felt this was a great way to step out of my comfort zone as well as meet new people. After YEBW I felt more confident about myself, and I will always remember this experience!” said senior Sarah Endicott.

There are three different colleges you can take YEBW at this summer, University of Portland, Oregon State, and University of Oregon. Camp out in a dorm room and live the life of a college student for five days. Do daily business activities on campus but also go swimming, bowling and many fun activities on campus. There will be fancy dinners, but also a big dance on the final night. This allows you to meet other teens from all around the United States that have the same interests as you.
